KFS x KAFSC Career Panel

As a community service project with Korean American Family Service Center (“KAFSC”), KFS annually hosts a career panel to provide KAFSC’s high school students with an opportunity to interact with professionals in finance and learn about the financial services industry.

Toys “R” Us Drive

On June 2018, KFS organized an exciting charity event to help make an impact in the Korean and Korean American community. With Toys "R" Us shutting down, the Company was offering a 60%+ discount on all of its store merchandise. Partnering with Korean American Family Service Center (“KAFSC”), KFS took advantage of this special opportunity to raise money and distribute toys to Korean and Korean American children in the Greater New York City area.

— Project Impact

After raising ~$10,000, KFS was able to donate high quality items (tablets, portable speakers, drones, interactive toys and dolls) to 260 children in KAFSC's Hodori After School Program, an initiative that supports children affected by domestic violence.

KFS met with the directors of the program and visited each classroom of kids. One of the program directors introduced KFS and how KFS made the donations for the purchase of the toys. Fellow Chris Cheon (Harvard) even gave a small statement about how he used to be a student in the same school site many years ago.

After the introduction, KFS handed out the toys to the students, and they were extremely happy to receive their gifts. Some of them even mentioned that they couldn't wait to go home to open them.
