Sandor Hau is a Managing Director at Charlesbank Capital Partners where he oversees the firm’s opportunistic credit investing activities. Previously, he was a Managing Director and Head of Corporate Credit and Special Situations at Nomura Securities International.
Before joining Nomura, Sandor was a Managing Director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. where he served as head of credit investing and private equity within the principal strategies group.
He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Council of Korean Americans.
Sandor earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He was also a Rotary Scholar at Yonsei University in Korea.
Mike Joo is Managing Director and Global Head of Rates & Currencies Origination. Mike is responsible for interest rate and currency risk management for corporate and commercial clients globally.
Previously, Mike was COO for Global Markets. As COO, he was responsible for strategy and key cross-platform business initiatives across sales, trading and research globally. He joined the company in 2006 as Head of Asia Debt Capital Markets, based in Hong Kong, and previously spent nearly ten years at Credit Suisse as head of Asia Debt Capital Markets. At Credit Suisse, he also focused on Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets and derivatives coverage. Mr. Joo began his career in Capital Markets at Goldman Sachs in New York.
Mr. Joo has also been involved in numerous advisory and financing projects for the Korean government and received various distinctions for his contributions during the Asian financial crisis. He was also selected an “Asia 21 Fellow” responsible for various initiatives in conjunction with the Asia Society.
Mr. Joo holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from MIT.
Alex is a partner in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs. Alex joined Goldman Sachs in New York after graduating from MIT in 1994 and spent three years across the information technology, fixed income and investment banking divisions. In 1997, Alex relocated to Hong Kong to work on mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, privatization and restructuring assignments for clients across Asia. Notably, Alex was deeply involved in the debt restructuring and capital raise assignment for the South Korean government during the height of the Asian currency crisis in 1998 and was instrumental in developing Goldman Sachs’ investment banking franchise in Korea. In 2000, Alex returned to New York to join the leveraged finance group, where he spent six years structuring and executing leveraged loan and high yield debt financings for corporate and private equity clients across all industries. In 2006, Alex assumed his current role in the financial sponsors group where he manages the firm’s relationships with a number of private equity and related portfolio company clients. Andrew Kim is a Senior Vice President at Paulson & Co, a leading event-driven hedge fund in NYC. Andrew is responsible for global risk arbitrage and event driven investments across all sectors. He is also a sector specialist in financials and real estate with extensive experience investing in recapitalizations and restructurings. Previously he was an investment analyst at Perry Capital and an investment banking analyst at Goldman Sachs.
He graduated with an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from the University of Michigan.

Hoon is the Head of Equity Portfolio Management and Senior Researcher in the Global Stock Selection team. He is responsible for day-to-day portfolio management decisions for equity hedge fund strategies and long-only equity strategies. Hoon has contributed to the advancement in various areas of investment strategies and processes, including alpha signal research, portfolio construction, performance attribution and portfolio analytics. Prior to joining AQR in 2005, Hoon worked for Mellon Capital Management in San Francisco where he was the Head of Quantitative Equity Research.
Hoon earned his B.A. in Business Administration from Yonsei University in South Korea. He earned MBA and Ph.D. in Business/Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a CPA (in Korea) and a CFA charterholder. Hoon is a founding member and served as the first president of Korea Finance Society (KFS) whose mission is to promote the global influence of Koreans in finance through networking, education and mentoring.

Charles Song is a Managing Director and Global Real Estate Specialist with BAML. Before joining the firm he was a Managing Director at Moon Capital Management, a $1.7 bn global hedge fund, where he ran the firm’s real estate investments. Prior to that, he was the Co-Head of Global Real Estate securities for Macquarie Investment Management. Prior to that he was a Senior Portfolio Manager for Dividend Capital Investments. Charles started his career at Lehman Brothers in New York in Asset Backed Securities and graduated from Cornell University with a B.A. in Government.\

Chris Yang is a Managing Partner of Grove Street Advisors, a $6.4 billion provider of discretionary separate accounts focused on private equity for large institutional clients. He is an active investor in micro and mid-market buyouts with a particular interest in distressed opportunities, as well as technology-oriented growth and venture funds. Chris takes leadership responsibility for GSA’s strategy and portfolio development in Asia.
Prior to joining Grove Street in 2001, Chris was a consultant with Integral, Inc. and Alliance Consulting Group where he worked on strategy development for a number of large technology companies. He has also held various operating positions with Internet companies such as HomeGrocer, SchoolStop and Rotten Tomatoes. Chris was an Associate with HotBank/Seed Capital, SOFTBANK’s early stage venture affiliate in Boston, and has worked with Bain & Company on its eVolution joint venture with Texas Pacific Group and Kleiner Perkins, as well as the law firm of Bingham McCutchen.
Chris holds a BS in Economics from MIT, a JD from Harvard Law School and an MBA from MIT Sloan. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.

Teddy is a senior trader for US Investment Grade credit products at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Prior to joining GSAM, Teddy held portfolio management responsibilities over European credit products at Hutchin Hill Capital with an emphasis on high yield and financials for 7 years. Teddy began his career on the sell-side at Goldman Sachs, with a background in credit research and credit trading.
Teddy graduated from the Stern School of Business at New York University with a BS in Finance in 2004. Teddy is also a graduate of Phillips Academy in Andover, MA and speaks fluent Korean.
